EU ErP certification
Introduction to ERP Certification
On October 31, 2009, the European Commission issued the rewriting directive of the EUP Directive (2005/32/EC) in its official bulletin OJ: The Framework for Establishing Eco-design Requirements for Energy-Related Products (2009/125/EC) (ErP for short) and it will take effect on October 20, 2009. The new directive will replace the current EUP Directive when it comes into effect. The most striking change of ERP Directive (2009/125/EC) is to expand the energy-consuming products of the original EUP Directive into energy-related products. But some other contents, such as the establishment method of implementing measures, have not changed much. The entry into force of the new directive (ERP directive) means that more products exported to EU will be restricted by the directive. It reminds relevant export enterprises to start as soon as possible and make full preparations for the directive.
ERP Authentication Directive
The birth of the EU EUP Directive (2005/32/EC) represents the EU's concern for the environment. It extends from the disposal of waste products to all stages of the product life cycle. The scope of consideration includes design, production, packaging, transportation, use and abandonment. It expects to reduce capital through a complete product inspection. Source consumption and pollution discharge. On October 21, 2009, the European Council (EC) issued the Eco-Design Directive for Energy Consumption Products of 2009/125/EC to replace the old version of 2005/32/E, thus expanding the product range from energy-consuming products (EUP) to all energy-consuming products (ErP: energy-related products). The new version of the Directive (ErP Directive) came into force on November 20, 2009.
ErP Directive is the new European CE Marking Regulation. As a CE sign instruction, the requirements of ErP instruction will be implemented together with other requirements such as safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, radio and so on.
EU Regulations: All electronic and electrical products sold in Europe must meet the requirements of ERP testing or certification (energy saving requirements of products related to energy consumption in Europe)
